OUR CLUB (formed in 1935 as the St Oswalds, Thornton Heath, Meccano Club) has developed over the years to become, perhaps, the only organisation to bring together those that are interested in any aspect of public transport.
Our interests cover the history, development and modern day transport scene, in Britain or throughout the world. Whether you are interested in railway, trams, buses, trains, canals, shipping, aircraft, traction engines, or architecture we cover it.
Meetings will now normally be held in :
The Lounge, Shirley Methodist Church,
Eldon Avenue, Shirley, CRO 8SD starting 19.45 and finishing by 21.45
on the third Tuesday of the month

119, 194, 198 to Wickham Road The Crown*
Car parking on site, access from Eldon Avenue+
* This stop is announced as ‘Upper Shirley Road’
+ Note that this road is only accessible from the southbound carriageway of Shirley Road, from other directions use Wickham Road and Shirley Avenue
Exhibitions — have been held at various venues in the South London area over the years including : St Pauls Church Hall Thornton Heath, St Stephens Church Hall Thornton Heath, The Royal British Legion Norbury, Streatham Congregational Church Halls, The Stanley Halls South Norwood, The TAVR Mitcham Road Croydon, The Endeavour Hall Norbury, The Sir Phillip Game Centre Croydon, The Canons Leisure Centre Mitcham, The Fairfield Hall Croydon and St. Andrews High School, Croydon.
