OUR CLUB (formed in 1935 as the St Oswalds, Thornton Heath, Meccano Club) has developed over the years to become, perhaps, the only organisation to bring together those that are interested in any aspect of public transport.

Our interests cover the history, development and modern day transport scene, in Britain or throughout the world.   Whether you are interested in railway, trams,  buses, trains, canals, shipping, aircraft, traction engines, or architecture we cover it.

Meetings are held monthly (except for July and August) usually on the second Tuesday of the month. We meet  in the Primary Room, United Reformed Church, Addiscombe Grove, East Croydon from 19.30 finish by 21.45. Meetings start at 19.45 (note earlier time).

London Trams, Southern and Thameslink train services and bus routes 64, 119, 194, 197, 312, 410, 433, 466, X26, and are all just a three minute walk away.

Please see map on our meetings page.

Exhibitions have been held at various venues in the South London area over the years including : St Pauls Church Hall Thornton Heath, St Stephens Church Hall Thornton Heath, The Royal British Legion Norbury, Streatham Congregational Church Halls, The Stanley Halls South Norwood, The TAVR Mitcham Road Croydon, The Endeavour Hall Norbury, The Sir Phillip Game Centre Croydon, The Canons Leisure Centre Mitcham, The Fairfield Hall Croydon and St. Andrews High School, Croydon.

If you have any questions about our club or suggestions for talks, visits etc please use the contact form found in the drop down list on the left this page.
