OUR CLUB (formed in 1935 as the St Oswalds, Thornton Heath, Meccano Club) has developed over the years to become, perhaps, the only organisation to bring together those that are interested in any aspect of public transport.
Our interests cover the history, development and modern day transport scene, in Britain or throughout the world. Whether you are interested in railway, trams, buses, trains, canals, shipping, aircraft, traction engines, or architecture we cover it.
Meetings - These are held on Tuesday evenings throughout the year. However, we are closed during school holidays. We hold about 25 organised meetings a year. We meet in the Primary Room, United Reformed Church, Addiscombe Grove, East Croydon from 1930 (meetings start at 2000)
Tram routes 1, 2 3 & 4 Southern and Thameslink train services and bus routes 64, 119, 194, 197, 312, 410, 466, X26, and 433 are all just a three minute walk away.
Please see map on our meetings page.
